If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting our Lead Ambassador and Partner Liaison Andy Farriester, you’re sure to remember him. A little bit goofy, and always warm, outgoing, and welcoming, Andy is a beloved and popular member of our team. Born and raised in Arkansas, Andy earned a degree in theatre before moving to Chicago where he fell in love with wine while working at Sam’s Wine and Spirits. While Andy continued to work in and around the wine and hospitality industries for many years, it wasn’t until he and his husband, Russell, purchased their home in Forestville that he followed his passion for wine to the tasting rooms of wine country.
Here are some fun facts about Andy: Andy and Russell moved from Chicago to California on Groundhog Day (thus six more weeks of winter were avoided). They were married on the show, Top Chef. Andy adopted Lucy, one of his two beautiful rescue dogs, when MacRostie hosted Puppies, Pinot, and Paella at the Estate House. As a Lead Ambassador/Affiliate Liaison, Andy believes that applying the Golden Rule is the secret to a great guest experience.
