Lori Patty discovered her passion for wine early on. “My parents are wine fanatics. They used to take my sister and me to Sonoma County when they went wine tasting. I loved how beautiful the wineries were and learning all about ‘wine smelling’.” After earning a degree in wine business from Sonoma State University, Lori worked at a number of wineries, before discovering MacRostie.
Lori was quickly promoted from wine ambassador to assistant hospitality and events manager, before taking on her current role last year. “The experience I gained as a wine ambassador is key to how I approach my role as wine club and guest services manager.
In the Estate House, the experience is so genuine and personal. I want to carry that over into the club. We have amazing, loyal club members. I want them to think of our home as their home-away-from-home. Making sure that they have the best experiences possible is at the heart of everything we do.”
Looking ahead, Lori is excited about the club-exclusive BBQ at Wildcat Mountain Vineyard in August. “This is one of my favorite events of the year because it’s not often that I get to enjoy a multi-vintage vertical of both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, while looking out over the expanse of the vineyard itself. It makes me feel all the more connected to the full circle of the winemaking process. I hope you all can join us!”
